I think we can all agree, for better or worse, 'Requiem' changed everything. All stories written after its airing have to either occur in an AU, some undefined past, or acknowledge...it. Some writers are in such turmoil, they've been shut down. Others have found renewed vigor. And if you acknowledge the loss of Mulder and Scully's pregnancy, is it post-Requiem?
