'And Dance by the Light of the Moon' by MustangSally and RivkaT: Halloween (mind) candy.
Branwell says: A vivid account of a Halloween night, with the humor, smut and wonderful language to make it memorable.'Audited' by Susanne Barringer: Mulder gets audited by the I.R.S. Branwell says: A sinister force threatens our heroes, but this time they triumph by using unconventional methods. I could picture the confrontation and it made me laugh. 'Chocolate Cake' by Heavenly Creature: Well... don't we all have our weaknesses? bugs says: I *love* Original Character POVs. There's only so many times I can hear our gang's voices in a fic. And this character is quite original. 'Contact High' by Penumbra: Scully drops by Mulder's apartment one evening and one thing sort of leads to another. Colonization metaphors abound. Mulder's new bed has a cameo. 'Escape Speed' by Punk Maneuverability: Mulder and Scully--driving. It's the feel good hit of the season. Branwell says: This is a simple account of Scully having fun. I wish this so much for the characters, that I want stories like this. But I'm so picky I require believable characterization and circumstances before I can enjoy it. Relax and enjoy this. 'Frog to Swan' by Shawne: Post-Rain King. Mulder bonds with a new pet, to an alarming extent. Based on one line in the episode. Bad luck if you can't spot which one! bugs says: Shawne gets the Mulder voice perfect in this vignette. I can *so* see Mulder doing this, thinking this, wishing this. 'The Furious Winter' by CazQ: "A cry of Absence, Absence in the heart,/ and in the wood the furious winter blowing." [ Rookery home ][ Rec home ][ G-L ][ M-Z ]
